In July, Pfluon, as the research unit, organized and applied for the national key research and development plan key special project - "Key Technologies for Mass Production of Medical Polyaryletherketone Materials and Research and Development of Surface Biomimetic Modification Technology for Orthopedic Implants". One of the projects, "Development of New Medical Grade Polyaryletherketone Materials and PEEK Mass Production Research", was successfully approved after multiple rounds of strict review organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. At present, the signing of the project assignment has been completed.

This key special project is expected to solve the problems of poor working environment and difficulty in further improving polymer quality caused by direct water cooling and mechanical crushing of high-temperature polymer solutions in existing polyaryletherketone polymerization technology. On the one hand, it can improve the product quality of polyaryletherketone to meet medical grade requirements, and on the other hand, it can provide new ideas for the preparation and purification of engineering plastics such as polyphenylene sulfide and polyphenylene ether.
